Barkha Singh takes charge as Mahila Cong head

Former DCW chairperson Barkha Shukla Singh on Saturday assumed charge as president of the women’s wing of Delhi Congress. 

Taking charge as chief of the Delhi Pradesh Mahila Congress in <g data-gr-id="8">presence</g> of DPCC president Ajay Maken and All India Mahila Congress president Shobha Oza, she stressed on building up cadre base of the outfit for enrolling more women members to the party.  

Maken praised Barkha Singh’s work during her tenure as the chairperson of Delhi Commission for Women (DCW). 

She raised her voice against atrocities on women and took action against the accused disregarding their standing and position, he said.
