Barack Obama to host Cameron at White House

US president Barack Obama will host British prime minister David Cameron at the White House this week to discuss a broad range of issues, including counterterrorism and cybersecurity.

The two-day visit on January 15-16, highlights the breadth, depth and strength of US-British relationship, the White House said. The two leaders would have a working dinner on Thursday and a meeting in the Oval Office on Friday. “The two leaders will discuss a range of issues, including economic growth, international trade, cybersecurity, Iran, ISIL, counterterrorism, Ebola, and Russia’s actions in Ukraine,” White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said in a statement. Britain is a uniquely close friend and steadfast ally, and President Obama looks forward to beginning the New Year by working with Cameron on these issues and reaffirming the enduring special relationship between the two countries, Earnest said.
