Back to nature
This annual event is being held for the 2nd time at the permanent venue, Nature Bazaar, Kisan Haat at Andheria Modh. Dastkar, in partnership with Delhi Tourism, is developing this venue as a year-round hub where traditional & innovative crafts and culture meet natural and eco-friendly products.

This year, Dastkar Nature is expected to be bigger and better ! Showcasing over 160 craftgroups, NGOs and small producer groups, as well as new designers working in contemporary ways with traditionally skilled craftspeople. The wonderfully rich diversity of our regional crafts from 22 States will be represented.

Dastkar Nature  will feature the return of two beautiful metal crafts, silver inlay on black metal Bidri craft from Karnataka and the revival of Pune Tambat copper-wares in a beautifully designed and wide range.

Dastkar Nature will be offering Papier-mâché crafts, Dhokra and Bastar metal artworks, pottery, Bagh block-print home linens and furniture in wood, cane or Sarkhanda grass. Floors will welcome stylish Jhawaja woven rugs from Rajasthan or dhurries from Uttar Pradesh.  From the South, Tamil Nadu brings paper lamps and hammocks, Kerala brings its murals, lacquered wood items and banana fibre decoratives come from Karnataka, alongside hand-painted Kalamkari fabrics and woven jute dhurries from Andhra Pradesh.

A vibrant programme of Cultural Performances from Kerala will be enjoyed from 24 to 26 October and 10 different Interactive Craft Workshops will daily allow visitors to interact and learn directly from craftspeople – in diverse folk painting styles to sanjhi paper-cuts, pottery to papier-mâché, along with beadwork and fun finger-puppets.
