Baby boy found abandoned in toilet flush

A newly-born baby boy was found lying in an uncounscious state in a public toilet near Anand Vihar Bus stop on Saturday. The incident came to light on Saturday afternoon when a man in his early twenties discovered a newly-born baby lying unconscious in the toilet’s flush and informed the police.
According to a police officer close to the investigation, ‘A team reached the spot and found a newly-born baby lying in flush of the toilet. The baby was immediately taken out and was rushed to the nearby Lal Bahadur Shashtri hospital.’
The officer said there were injury marks on the baby’s body which could have been caused because he was thrown in the flush.
Doctors at the hospital said the baby’s condition was stable. They said the child might have died if there was further delay in admitting him. He has been kept under observation for now.
