Australia rest Marsh from 2nd ODI, Khwaja in

Australia on Tuesday decided to rest pacer Mitchell Marsh from the second cricket one-dayer against India here on Friday, replacing him with John Hastings as part of their rotational policy to manage players’ workload.

“Victoria and Melbourne Stars seam bowler John Hastings has been called up to Australia’s squad for match two of the Victoria Bitter ODI Series against India, at The Gabba in Brisbane on Friday,” Cricket Australia said in a press release. Marsh will return to the side for the third encounter of the series, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Sunday.

Top-order batsman Usman Khawaja has been drafted into the Australia squad for the ongoing ODI series against India in place of opener David Warner whose wife is expecting the couple’s second child.
