‘Attachment to course will help at Avantha’

Four-time Asian Tour winner Indian golfer Gaganjeet Bhullar is hoping his attachment to Jaypee Greens Golf Course will work to his advantage when it hosts the tri-sanctioned Avantha Masters for the first time from March 14 to 17. ‘My record in the Avantha Masters could be better, but my health wasn’t great for the last two tournaments, so I’m hoping for much bigger and better things this time. There will be a bit of pressure on me to play well given my attachment to the club, but I put pressure on myself to perform every time I tee up,’ Bhullar said ahead of the 1.8 million euro event.

Bhullar reinforced his growing reputation on the Asian Tour last season with two victories in Taipei and Macau. Both victories came during a hot six-week streak which also included a runner-up finish.
