Assam Assembly polls: Parties yet to release manifesto

With a little over two weeks left for the first phase of the Assam Assembly elections on April 4, the ruling Congress and other major contesting parties are yet to release their poll manifesto of issues on which they will seek voters’ mandate. Congress, which recently announced its list of contestants for the first phase of polls, has not yet decided when their manifesto will be made public, APCC spokesman Apurba Bhattacharjee said on Wednesday.

Similarly, the BJP which is attempting to topple the ruling Congress to form its government for the first time in the state, is also yet to announce its poll manifesto.
