Art on the go

Mangu Singh, MD (Delhi Metro) and Kiran Karnik (President, India Habitat Centre) jointly inaugurated the art project titled The Habitat Initiative: Art In Public Spaces amidst an august gathering of artists, curators and bureaucrats. Curated by Alka Pande, the project will consist of displaying art at the metro stations of Jor Bagh and Mandi House.

At the Jor Bagh metro station, photographs from the exhibition, The Long Exposure at Udaipur, 1857-1957, would be displayed while at the Mandi House station, photographs on Holi by Tarun Chhabra would be displayed.

Those who attended the launch party included Mangu Singh (MD, Delhi Metro), Kiran Karnik (President IHC), Rakesh Kacker (Director, IHC), Alka Pande (curator), Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar (Prince of Udaipur), Prashant Panjiar (artist), Vidyun Singh (choreographer), Tarun Chhabra (artist), Sunaina Anand, (gallerist), Kanchan Chander (artist), Minu Talwar (TV presenter) among others.
