Army officer held with drugs

A team of Thoubal police commando on Sunday arrested an army officer along with huge consignment of contraband Pseudoephedrine tablets at Pallel in Chandel district of Manipur.
On Sunday around 8 am, the team, headed by Inspector Sudhir Singh, seized the consignment which was brought from Imphal, by six persons, including one Col Ajay Chawdhury, of Bihar Regiments and at present working as PRO Defence, at Imphal.
Three vehicles were intercepted. The Bolero in which Col Ajay was traveling in was patched up with official vehicle registration number. The arrested included Air Indigo, Assistant Manager N Brojendro Singh, Haopu Haokip, Minthang Doungel, Minlal Haokip and army jawan RK Babloo Singh.
