Army inspired TV show

A fresh show called, Paltan, depicting the challenging life of the army men, has been slotted from January 5 on Doordarshan National. It will highlight the lives, dreams, aspirations, emotions and challenges of the officers in the armed forces.
The Plot revolves around four young officers, Captain Akshay (Akki), Captain Gurpreet (Gary), Captain Subramanium (Subbu) and Lt. Vikram (Vicky) who are great friends in the same regiment. Subedar Major Baldev Singh is the one man on whose orders jawans would lay down their lives. However the young officers often go astray, and that’s how the life in the Paltan goes on.
The story of Paltan has shades of bravery, action, emotions, love, passion, tension, deceit, loyalty and at times humor. With this show, Doordarshan hopes to relive its golden days of Fauji. The serial is being produced by Vijay Gopal under the banner of SVG Network Pvt. Ltd. The first episode of the serial airs on Doordarshan National on January 5 at 10:30 pm, Monday to Thursday.
