Arjun Kapoor’s ‘fanboy’ moment with M.S. Dhoni

The 30-year-old Ki & Ka star and Dhoni played rivals in a recent match of football for a charity, but for Arjun sharing the field with the cricketer was more important than the competition between them.

“Fanboy moment on field with @mahi7781 I don’t think I’ve smiled so much in a while...great game great cause great fun...,” the actor tweeted. Fans witnessed an exciting battle between India’s Test skipper Virat Kohli-led cricket stars and Abhishek Bachchan-fronted Bollywood celebrities in the match, held on June 4.

The match, termed as “Celebrity Classico 2016”, took place between cricketers’ team ‘All Heart’ and the filmstars’ team ‘All Stars’ at the Mumbai Football Arena, Andheri Sports Complex, to generate funds for charitable initiatives in which Kohli and Bachchan are involved.

Bachchan didn’t play in the match due to back injury and his team was led by Ranbir Kapoor. The match ended in a 2-2 draw, but actor Abhishek Bachchan said irrespective of the draw, the noble cause for which the match was held emerged the winner.

The All Stars was captained by Ranbir Kapoor and had players like Aditya Roy Kapur, Shoojit Sircar and Raj Kundra among others. All Heart was captained by Virat and had players like Dhoni, R. Ashwin, Shikhar Dhawan, Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh, among others.

According to a report, in SpotboyE, Sonakshi Sinha was present as a special guest at the charity event. While she cheered for team Bollywood she made sure that she completely steered clear of her alleged ex-boyfriend even during half-time. Arjun reportedly did the same.
