Indian women’s compound team had lost the bronze medal play-off on Saturday and it finished with a solitary medal from the last stage of a forgettable World Cup as the men’s recurve team had missed the final chance to make the Olympics in the qualification event held on June 16.

The Indian mixed duo of Atanu Das and Deepika Kumari started off with poor shots of eight, six and nine to lose the first set 0-2, a deficit they failed to overcome as the top seed Korean pair of Bonchan Ku and Misun Choi clinched an easy 5-1 win.

After the early stutter, the Indian duo recovered to level the second, and shot 37 in the decisive set.
But the consistent Korean team responded with two perfect 10s, followed by Misun’s nine, leaving Bonchan to follow it up with an identical score and he did not disappoint to seal a fine win.
