To ensure better health for women and children in their constituencies and elevate the healthcare scenario in the state, the White Ribbon Alliance West Bengal (WRAWB) on Wednesday launched the Swasthya Samiksha Mobile App for the Members of the Parliament and Members of Legislative Assembly.

The App, an Android-based application available on Google Play Store, will help the MPs and MLAs to track their respective constituency’s maternal and reproductive health data.

It will enable government with real-time tracking of official data on key maternal and child health indicators of districts with updates on issues and new reports pertaining to MCH with level of intervention required, WRAWB state coordinator Sujoy Roy said during the launch of the App at the Press Club here on Wednesday.

“We have conceptualised this App with the aim to encourage the MPs and MLAs with hassle-free maternal health care status at their finger tips,” Roy said.

The WRA is a global consortium of individuals and organisation that voluntarily and independently stand up for the noble cause for saving mothers’ lives during critical phase of her child delivery.
