Apollo to sell ‘Manchester United’ brand tyres in India

Apollo Tyres on Monday unveiled a special edition of high performance dual branded -- Apollo and Manchester United -- tyres for the Indian market. India is only the third country after the UK and Thailand where these co-branded tyres have been launched. “It is a high performance product. It generally fits Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic kind of vehicles. It is a very popular size globally,” Apollo Tyres President (Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa) Satish Sharma told reporters here. Commenting on association with Manchester United, Sharma said the partnership has helped the tyre maker greatly in terms of brand building. The Indian tyre maker had inked a three-year partnership with Manchester United in 2013.
