Antonio Banderas to be honoured at Latin Awards

Spanish actor Antonio Banderas is set to be honoured at the upcoming Premios Platino of Iberoamerican Cinema awards ceremony in his native country.

The Desperado star is set to receive the lifetime achievement accolade in recognition of his contribution to film over the past three decades, reported Contactmusic. Wild Tales, which earned Argentine director Damian <g data-gr-id="14">Szifron</g> an Oscar mention last year, leads the awards race with 10 nominations.

The second annual Premios Platino will be held in Marbella, Spain on July 18. Banderas is best known for films like The Mask of Zorro, Assasins, Shrek and Puss in Boots.
