Another UP woman gangraped, forced to drink acid, killed

The most gruesome of the incidents was reported from Bareilly where a 22-year-old girl was gang raped, before being murdered. The criminals burnt her face with acid to conceal her identity. The body was recovered from a field in Aithpura village in Bahedi locality of Bareilly. The cops suspected she was gang raped before being strangulated to death. Reports also said some acid was found in her stomach during autopsy pointing to the fact that she might have been forced to consume it.

  

SSP Bareilly, J Ravindra Gaur, said there was a possibility of the victim hailing from Uttrakhand, and therefore a team has been dispatched there for investigation.

In Mathura, a 32-year-old woman, lodged a report with the Kotwali police station alleging that Mahatab Singh, manager of Draupadi Devi Inter College in Pali Dogra locality, had lured her in the name of a job. She claimed the accused took her to Ganga Palace Hotel where he along with two of his accomplices had raped her. They also threatened to kill her before setting her free. A case has been registered and efforts were made to nab the accused.

In Gorakhpur, 16-year-old girl who had gone to attend the call of nature on Sunday evening was nabbed by three people and gang raped. Cops registered a case and sent the girl for medical examination. In another incident reported from Bagpat, a 22-year-old girl and her friend, was intercepted by one Shahzad and two more miscreants. The accused gang raped her at gun point.
