Another 840 seats up for grabs at Delhi University

The announcement of the result for admissions to 840 seats of Bachelor of Management
Studies (BMS) by Delhi University on Wednesday night has paved the way for the release of the eighth cut-off list for admission to various undergraduate programmes at several colleges.

The BMS result was announced on Wednesday late night for the 840 seats in various categories. The admissions are scheduled to be held from Friday.
Ramjas College’s principal Rajendra Prasad said, ‘Students who had secured seats by taking admission in Commerce and Economics (Honours) of various colleges, on finding their name in BMS list will definitely go for it. This would open opportunities for various aspirants.’

Shashi Tyagi, principal of Gargi College, said ‘On Thursday, from my college around five to six students have withdrawn their admissions. To some extent, admission to BMS will affect the seats of various colleges .’
SK Garg, principal of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya college, said, ‘On Thursday, 10 students withdrew their names largely from Commerce (Honours) from my college. BMS results will surely make DU come out with its eighth list’.

According to Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), out of the total 840 students who have been selected for admission to BMS, 422 are from General Category, 226 students are from Other Backward Classes (OBC), 126 belong to Scheduled Caste category, 66 are of Scheduled Tribe (ST) category and 54 are from other reserved categories.
