Angelina Jolie files for divorce

According to TMZ, the 41-year-old Actor filed the legal documents on Monday and has asked for physical custody of the couple’s six children. She is asking the judge to give Pitt visitation and is in favour of a joint legal custody.

Sources close to the couple say Jolie’s decision has to do with the way Pitt was parenting the children and she was extremely upset with his methods.

Jolie is not asking for spousal support. Hollywood star George Clooney was visibly shocked when a media person informed him about his industry friends Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s break up and the actor called it unfortunate.

Angelina Jolies’ father Jon Voight says he’s “concerned” for his daughter and grandchildren in the wake of news that the she has filed for divorce from husband Brad Pitt. “It’s very sad,” actor Voight told Inside Edition.

“Something very serious must have happened for Angie to make a decision like this.” Further, Pitt released his own statement, saying, “I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the 

well-being of our kids.”

Aniston and Pitt’s five-year-old marriage ended in 2005 and it was believed the cause was his closeness to Jolie that developed on the set of their film “Mr and Mrs Smith”. 

Soon after his split from Aniston, Pitt began dating Jolie. Now, when the news broke out that Jolie filed for divorce from the 52-year-old actor, social media is busy speculating how Aniston, who is happily married to actor Justin Theroux, would be feeling right now. 

Pitt and Jolie were married in 2014, after nearly a decade together.Jolie filed for divorce from him on Monday, September 19. The couple celebrated their second anniversary last month.
