Amit Shah’s mission UP

Enthused by the grand success in Uttar Pradesh where party got 72 seats out of total 80 in Lok Sabha, BJP is now seriously pursuing the agenda to capture power in UP. BJP President Amit shah who was in-charge of UP affairs in recently concluded Lok Sabha which saw total turn around in the fortune of BJP which ship up from 10 in last polls to 72 this time and two allies of Apna Dal to take tally to 74.

Three prominent leaders of BJP PM Narendra Modi, newly elected BJP national president Amit Shah and Union home minister Rajnath Singh are working on the strategy to boost the chances of BJP in UP to take on Akhilesh Yadav government and his Samajwadi party to capture in the state.
There is realisation in BJP that party should take the advantage of the present situation in which it was ahead of others in as many as 295 assembly constituencies. The fact remains that party had won only 40 seats in last assembly polls. As a part of strategy Amit Shah has given the responsibility to senior leaders including union ministers and MPs to concentrate in by-elections to be held for 12 assembly seats in near future. Another part of the strategy is to take on Akhilesh Yadav government in public issues to make people feel that government has failed.

This is quite evident from the fact BJP took the lead in organising demonstration and dharna to protest against rise in crime against women especially after Badaun incident where two girls were raped then hanged from trees. BJP dominated the protest inside UP assembly and blamed Akhilesh Yadav for rise against in crime against women. BJP wants to make deterioration of law and order as major issue to make people realise that nobody was safe under Akhilesh Yadav government.
BJP successfully organised state fight with the support from UP BJP Mahila Morcha which mobilised some from neighbouring district to stage dharna in front of Vidhan Sabha. BJP has also realised that polarisation of votes on communal line would help the party as it did after Muzaffarnagar riots.
That is why Samajwadi Party and Congress, BSP and Communist Party of India leaders alleged that BJP was responsible for communal tension in Kanth in Moradabad where BJP leaders had called for mahapanchayat in Kanth.

BHP had called for the mahapanchayat as administration had issued order to ban on use of loud speaker at a particular temple. There has been universal condemnation of union ministers of BJP from western UP who had been accused for inciting communal riots in Muzaffarnagar. BJP strategy is show Akhilesh Yadav as failure in peoples’ eyes so that saffron party may be seen as emerging as the only alternative to capture power in the state. CPI national secretary Atul Anjan also blamed BJP and its leaders of communalising the atmosphere of the state to capture power through total polarisation.
