Amit Shah meets Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states

BJP chief Amit Shah on Sunday held a meeting with chief ministers of all BJP-ruled states and pitched for coordination between the organization and the governments in those states so that fruits of schemes like Jan Dhan reach people at the grass-root level. 

During the meeting, they discussed the Centre’s decision to celebrate December 25, which is former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birthday, as good governance day and it has been decided that all public representatives of the BJP — from top to bottom — will spend one hour that day for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambitious Swachhta Abhiyan.  The chief ministers were in the national capital to attend a meeting convened by the Prime Minister to discuss a proposal to replace Planning Commission with a new body.  BJP’s media in-charge Shrikant Sharma said the leaders also discussed the government’s ambitious Jan Dhan scheme and Shah asked the chief ministers to ensure its 100 per cent success in the party-ruled states.
