The story of Satyabhama, the second consort of Lord Krishna, came alive in the Capital stage as renowned Kuchipudi dancer Meenu Thakur presented The Glimpses of Bhamakalapam on 23 August at
Epicentre, Gurgaon. Renowned Kathak exponent Nalini Kamalini was the cheif guest for the evening.
The artiste depicted the vanity, envy and anger of the divine damsel. She displayed tremendous energy in a break less performance that continued for an hour. Audiences were enthralled by her emotive facial expresions and scintillating feet movements. There were a number of foreign nationals who were watching an Indian classical dance performance for the first time.While intereacting with them, Thakur explained the essence of the portrayal of Satyabhama.
