All strung up!

The Frnch Embassy and The Imperial organised the event, An Evening with Johann Sebastian Bach, by Christian-Pierre La Marca, at The Royal Ballroom on 22 September. The performance by a world renowned French cellist created a tapestry of music, leaving the audience spellbound. Christian-Pierre La Marca interpreted Bach’s first three Cello Suites on his famed 1725 Stradivarius, The Vaslin.

Christian-Pierre La Marca has won numerous awards in France and abroad, as a soloist as well as with Trio Dali, his baroque music trio. His repertoire is a fine reflection of his curiosity - from baroque to contemporary music through the romantic masterpieces or eastern improvised music.

The evening also witnessed artistes like Anjali Ela Menon and Shovana Narayan, designer Poonam Bhagatalong with music aficionados from the French fraternity in India and other corporate heads. It concluded in an French style, satiating the music lovers with exclusive specialties prepared by The Imperial chefs.
