This one’s for the art lovers. Delhi Art Gallery’s signature exhibition showcasing the best of modern Indian art Manifestation XI is now open for the public. The show that kick started on on 15 October is in its 11th edition.
Manifestation XI brings together seventy-five of India’s premier and best-known modernist artists,
covering a wide period and varied artistic styles of high modernism in India.
The exhibition features prominent Indian modernists, led by former Progressives M. F. Husain, S. H Raza and F. N. Souza.
They lead to signature-style works by such well-known names such as Raja Ravi Varma, Jamini Roy, Nandalal Bose, N. S. Bendre, Ram Kumar, Satish Gujral, Ganesh Pyne and a whole host of trailblazing artists from all regions of India.
Grouped into categories, the exhibition is accompanied by a substantial, printed volume featuring colour plates of artworks by the 75 participating artists and contributions by some of the most well-known art scholars and writers practicing in India today.
