Alex Joseph remanded to judicial custody, CBI to seek custody

Alex C Joseph, who was arrested in Delhi on charges of violating provisions while importing luxury cars, was on Monday remanded to judicial custody by the Principal Special Judge for CBI cases.
Meanwhile, the Anti-Corruption Bureau of CBI here in a statement said that it would seek his custody for further interrogation.
Earlier, the CBI officials produced Joseph at principal special judge for CBI cases here, after arresting the accused from a hotel in Delhi on Saturday. They had obtained a transit warrant from duty chief metropolitan magistrate, Delhi, to take him to Chennai. Joseph has been evading arrest, ever since the registration of the case against him and his multiple anticipatory bail pleasĀ rejected by the Madras high court.
