‘Akshay Kumar training women in martial arts’

Akshay has launched a martial arts school to impart <g data-gr-id="26">self-defence</g> training to women in suburban Mumbai. “It is <g data-gr-id="27">highly-commendable</g> with what he (Akshay Kumar) is giving back to society, especially to the women. He is a great martial (art) artist and he has taught them that... Girls will kick the guys who mess with them. We will go on graduation day to give certificates and I am excited about it,” Siddharth told reporters last night at a promotional event of Brothers.

Akshay said Siddharth will join him while handing over the certificates to women. “In few days, I will be giving <g data-gr-id="36">certificate</g> to 600 women as I have finished training them. Altogether we have finished training 4,000 women. I know it is a small number, but it is a good initiative as they have gained confidence apart from defending them,” Akshay said. The actor said he was teaching the women only basics and not the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) which takes time.

“It is not about teaching them MMA but only the basics. Training them in MMA will take a lot of time and these are women who are working and they don’t have enough time.”

While launching a game based on the movie, Siddharth said, “It is very exciting that they have come up with a game like this. I saw how the characters look in the game and they have taken efforts to make it authentic to the film. I have played some portions of the game and I enjoyed it.” The actor said whenever he gets <g data-gr-id="32">time</g> he prefers playing outdoor <g data-gr-id="33">games</g> but he loved seeing himself in game avatar.
