Ajit Singh acts against four DGCA officers

Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh has taken a decision to award minor penalty of censure to four officers of DGCA namely Assistant Director (Airworthiness) James George, Director (Airworthiness) V P Massey, Assistant Director (Airworthiness) R K Yadav and Assistant Director (AE) Rajiv Gaur for non-intimation of employment of their dependents in private airlines or sectors under the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

Disciplinary proceedings were initiated against these officers with the approval of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) and a detailed inquiry was conducted by the DGCA in the matter.

During the inquiry, it was established that these officers had not intimated or obtained permission from the Government regarding employment of their dependents in the civil aviation sector.

This act was a violation of the Conduct Rules and, accordingly, the civil aviation minister took a decision to award a minor penalty of censure for their non-compliance of Conduct Rules.
