Ajax beat PSV 3-1 to close gap in Dutch football league

AFC Ajax narrowed the gap with Dutch football league leaders PSV Eindhoven to 11 points after a 3-1 win at the Philips Stadion here.
PSV were the better team in the first half hour of the match on Sunday. But Ajax opened the scoring. Ricardo Kishna tipped in a cross by Anwar El Ghazi, reports Xinhua.
PSV created some opportunities in the second half, but only found the net 13 minutes from time. Luuk de Jong headed in a cross by left-back Jetro Willems. A few minutes before the goal Ajax substitute Lasse Schone hit the cross-bar with a free-kick. But a few minutes after PSV’s equaliser he did hit the target with a deflected free-kick.Â
