Ahmed Patel denies links with Moin Qureshi

The political secretary of Congress President Sonia Gandhi has strongly denied that he any connections with Moin Qureshi.

With reference to a story published in Millennium Post on 26 May, ‘Ahmed Patel, Ranjit Sinha under scanner over links with Moin Qureshi’, he claimed, ‘I deny that I have had interactions regularly or otherwise with Moin Qureshi and I deny that I have interacted with him on any matter leave apart any sensitive matter as alleged in your captioned article. These allegations are published in your newspaper without any basis and material and is a clear attempt to drag my name in the said controversy and attempt to defame me.’

Millennium Post reported that ‘according to the surveillance tapes, Qureshi used to have regular interactions with Ahmed Patel as well. Qureshi and Patel interacted on various sensitive matters, in fact the subject of which are to be known in public domain. This unholy relationship and seizure of large number of documents point towards huge amounts of money being siphoned out of the country which need to be further probed, said revenue ministry officials.’
