Snap polls in the country could be possibility which can be gauged from the fact that even Rajya Sabha leaders of the party are in the process of contesting elections. Sources say that leader of opposition in the Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley and his deputy in the Upper house Ravi Shankar Prasad will be contesting the elections this time. Former BJP president Nitin Gadkari contesting from Nagpur is already a known fact.

Even ally of United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government, Samajwadi Party (SP) had said that one can expect snap polls in the country. ‘You all should be prepared for Lok Sabha polls as per my information, the elections may be declared after the budget session and the exercise is likely to be held by September,’ said SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav while addressing the party workers.
