Aditya Pancholi held after brawl at night club, gets bail

Bollywood actor Aditya Pancholi was on Sunday arrested for allegedly assaulting and abusing a bouncer of a night club at a five-star hotel in suburban Juhu, police said.

However, the 50-year-old actor was later released on bail.

Pancholi allegedly smashed the head of bouncer Mandar Patole (29) with his mobile handset while he was being escorted out after he created ruckus and damaged the counter at the pub in the wee hours on Sunday. According to police, the actor along with a friend reached the Trilogy pub in Hotel Sea Princess on Juhu Tara Road late last night.

“At about 12.45 AM on Sunday, an allegedly inebriated Pancholi requested the disc jockey (DJ) to play Hindi songs as, according to him, only English numbers were being played in the pub. When the DJ turned down his request, Pancholi had a tiff with him,” Santacruz police station’s senior inspector Padmakar Chavan said.
