‘Actors need to create new look’

Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt says it is important for actors to have different kind of look for every film otherwise it becomes boring.

“<g data-gr-id="24">Now a days</g> there are characters for which one has to look (in a) certain way. For Udta <g data-gr-id="23">Punjab</g> I had to lose weight and for Shaandaar I had to have that bikini look.

“I had to look desirable as a lady. It is boring if you (actors) keep looking <g data-gr-id="25">same</g> way in all your (their) films,” the 22-year-old actor told reporters here at an event.
“We as actors need to create <g data-gr-id="28">new</g> look and try and be different for every character that we play portray. 

“We hope to achieve a fit look,” the Student of the Year star said. In her upcoming film Shaandaar, filmed by Vikas Bahl, Alia will be donning a bikini on screen for the first time.

Udta Punjab is an upcoming film starring Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt. The Highway <g data-gr-id="22">actor,</g> would be sharing screen space with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan in Karan Johar’s 
upcoming home production film.

When asked how thrilled is she to be working with SRK, Alia says, “We will talk about it later.” 
Alia was speaking at a book launch — Sculpt and Shape: The Pilates Way, co-<g data-gr-id="27">athored</g> by Yasmin Karachiwala, a leading fitness professional and Zeena Dhalla. Along with Alia, actresses Katrina Kaif and Sophie Chaudhary were also present on 
the occasion.
