Twenty “deep” injury marks were found on the body of the Dalit man brutally murdered allegedly by suspected henchmen of a liquor baron in Abohar, a member of the doctors’ team that conducted the autopsy said on Friday.
“His body bore 20 injury marks,” Senior Medical Officer (SMO), Abohar, Yudhishter Chaudhary said.
A team of three doctors –Yudhishter Chaudhary, Aman Nagpal and Mahesh –performed an autopsy on the body of 27-year-old Bhim Sain, who was allegedly murdered by liquor baron Shiv Lal Doda’s men by chopping his limbs off on Friday last. The post-mortem report said the injury marks were “deep”, suggesting that sharp-edged weapons were used in the attack.
There was no sign of injury on the back of the body, the doctor said.
Meanwhile, Sain’s family on Friday raised questions over the police probe, alleging that an attempt was being made to protect Shiv Lal, who is said to be member of a prominent political party in the state, and his nephew Amit Doda.
“Police are not conducting a fair probe in the case. They have failed to nab Shiv Lal and his nephew who were involved in his murder,” Sain’s uncle Satish Kumar alleged.
