AAP’s Naresh Balyan arrested in assault case

The Delhi Police on Friday arrested Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Naresh Balyan for his alleged involvement in an assault case.

On Sunday, MLA Balyan and his supporters had trespassed and attacked the president of an RWA in the Mohan Garden area of Uttam Nagar.

A case was registered against the Uttam Nagar MLA and his supporters under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). He is expected to be released on bail soon.

The FIR was lodged on Sunday night following a complaint by former AAP volunteer and president of Mohan Garden RWA, Henry George.

One of MLAs' supporters in turn also filed a cross FIR against George, accusing him of abusing and assaulting the MLA and his supporters near his office.
