AAP playing well-scripted drama to protect Khan: BJP

The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Delhi unit has alleged that by rejecting the resignation of its MLA Amanatullah Khan, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is playing a “well-scripted drama to save the tainted leader”.

“If Khan was serious about his resignation, he should have sent it to the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, who is appointing authority for the post of chairperson of the Wakf Board. He was playing a drama, scripted by his party supremo Arvind Kejriwal, to win sympathy from people and dodge charges of corruption against him,” said Satish Upadhyay, Delhi BJP president.  He alleged that the drama was scripted in the office of Chief Minister as Kejriwal knew that the investigations into the corruption of Wakf Board is nearing completion and Khan could be arrested at any time.

“Anybody can guess that AAP leaders will blame the PM on any issue related to AAP,” he added. He also demanded Kejriwal to explain the charges, which Khan was fed up by giving answers.
