AAP open to people with clean image: Sisodia

‘The party is not meant for only those who participated in the initial movement against corruption,’ Sisodia, a former Delhi minister, told reporters when asked about dissension in the party over some Lok Sabha candidates.

The AAP is prepared to induct all people with a ‘clear’ track record into the party fold, he said, adding his party’s target was to free the country from the clutches of dirty politics.

‘There are plenty of people in the country who are good and have clear track record,’ he said, after announcing former Miss India and actor Gul Panag as the party’s candidate for the Chandigarh Lok Sabha seat here.

AAP’s previous candidate from Chandgarh, Savita Bhatti, widow of comedian Jaspal Bhatti, had opted out of race after she allegedly failed to take along party workers in the city and getting lukewarm response from activists as she was a ‘celebrity’ chosen by the party to contest polls.
