AAP MLA’s office attacked, Bassi orders probe

Some unidentified men allegedly fired 14 shots at the office of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from Najafgarh, Kailash Gahlot, in South-west Delhi’s Najafgarh area around 12:45am on Thursday. Police said the 40-year-old legislator was at his home when the incident took place.

Police said no one was present in the office when the incident took place. “The assailants fired as many as 14 shots on the wall, windows and gate of the office,” an official privy to investigation said. Delhi police commissioner BS Bassi has directed South-west district police to “expeditiously” probe the matter. An FIR has been lodged against unidentified persons.
