AAP issues stern warning to volunteers on rebel camp meet

Senior party leader Sanjay Singh said that AAP’s all- powerful PAC and its National Executive (NE) would decide the next move in this regard after the ‘Swaraj Samvad’ meet, which is being held on Tuesday in Gurgaon.

According to sources in the rebel group “Swaraj Samvad” around 4,500 supporters are expected to show up. Among them 100 candidates who had contested the Lok Sabha polls on AAP tickets are likely to attend the meet. “Swaraj Samvad is not a party function. The PAC and NE will decide on what action needs to be taken after the meeting,” Singh told media persons. The National Council, in its meeting last month, empowered the PAC to take disciplinary action against those giving negative statements about the party to the media.

Meanwhile the rebel camp of Bhushan and Yadav, conducted a meeting at Jangpura on Tuesday to set the agenda for the crucial ‘Swaraj Samvad’ called by Bhushan and Yadav in Gurgaon on Tuesday. The meeting was attended by nearly 30 AAP leaders including party MLA from Timarpur, Pankaj Pushkar, apart from Bhushan, Yadav and Professor Anand Kumar. Former AAP leader and social activist Medha Patkar, Chhattisgarh tribal activist Soni Sori and human rights activist Aruna Roy are expected to attend the Tuesday meeting. Several AAP volunteers from other states are expected to participate in the event.
