A woman’s sufferings

The sculptures will be exhibited as part of the group show called Cross Current which is a collateral exhibition of Kochi , Biennale 2014 started from December 10 and will continue till March 29, 2015. Hemi would be exhibiting one sculpture from the same series at Arushi Arts Gallery, The Gallery on the MG, in the Capital from December 14.
Pain of women has been a great inspiration and center theme of work of art for many artists for centuries. Artists all around the world have portrayed the physical and psychological trauma undergone by women so as to make awareness among the society. But the suffering of women still continues and the torture and atrocities have reached to the highest.
Women have played many roles in all fields of life and have always played very important role in life of men. Women have been behind rise and fall of many kingdoms. But at the same time women had to go through many harrowing experience from birth to death. It was never an easy task for women to do what she wants to do.
