Winter is just the perfect time to plate up some delicious eats and make sure they are high on the taste and spice scale to warm  you up! The Imperial is all set to take this on as maverick Chef De Cuisine Veena Arora traces the journey of spices with her annual and most popular menu Winter Collection- a South East Asian Affair offering best of sea delicacies to keep you warm this winter, at The Spice Route. 

Sea food rules this November and December at our world famous restaurant which offers a wide variety of dishes made out of king prawns, squids, lobster and variety of fishes, making your dining experience extremely palatable and delightful. Epicureans can choose from the concept dishes like Prawn in a Sarong - Malaysian style por pia skin wrapped prawns, flavoured with lemongrass, chillies and fried crisp. Served with sweet chilli and plum sauce  which is a creative presentation of prawns wrapped in Por Pia skin (Thai spring rolls) flavoured with lemon grass. It is not only a visual treat but is an excellent combination of lemongrass with chillies and garlic made in a sarong style. Meen Rassam- Mixed sea food rassam, tempered with Kerala spices and Muc Xao Phap Cam - wok fried squid with pickled mustard Vietnamese style is another palatable offering amongst others.

The winter collection menu is conceptualised in such a way that all the dishes and ingredients are perfectly suited for winter season. The menu has Srilankan Malaysian, Vietnamese and off course Thai creations including Chef's Special Fish - Crispy sole fillets served with pineapple sauce and Chef's Special Prawn - Wok fried prawns with spicy sauce, pickled garlic and fresh Thai herbs for a wholesome and healthy sea food experience. 

The most unique aspect about the menu is it is popular from past 18 years since The Spice Route came into existence. One if the speciality Thalay Naam Prik Phao -  Stir-fried mixed seafood with Thai Tom Yum paste is a delectable dish with the taste of basil leaves and kaffir lime leaves. Both these ingredients are high on health quotient and keep you warm in winters while going extremely well with sea food. So the winter collection menu is healthy, delectable and impeccable for winters.
