A buffet of art
With the aim of serving varieties of art to the city, Da’ Strokes, the Visual Gallery of Affordable Art flattered all the art lovers with the weekend art exhibition Motley Bazaar, last Saturday at Alliance Francaise de Delhi.
The exhibition, as the name implies, was themed on variety in the form of art genres. What worked for the show was its openness which allowed the artistes to freely express themselves in a fairly open and casual way. The notion behind Motley Bazaar was to provide a platform to talk about art, not just paintings but all kinds of art like music, photography, sculpture, etc.
Bases upon the artistes unique and distinctive quality of work, the exhibition featured several works of realist portraiture, vivid oil based, charcoal sketches, landscape art, spontaneous realism, illustrative art, pop art, and religious art.
To name a few of the artistes that showcased their masterpieces were- Anirban Halder, Apar Kaur, Ashoo Malik, Daya Chand, Divya Seengal, Goldie Manuja, Kaveri Ray, Preet Badhwar, Radhika Singh, Rashmee Seengal, Sabrina Gill, Shanivi Trivedi, Shradha Bhatia, Sonal Nagpal, Sunita Mathur, Tanushree Chatterjee, Manmeet Kaur, Shalini Dhameja.
