9 more Dehradun branches under PNB Pragati by Dec

Punjab National Bank (PNB) Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) K R Kamath recently performed the bhoomi poojun ceremony for construction of the PNB circle office at ‘IT Park Dehradun’, where a a state-of-the-art training centre will be established for senior executives' training.

He also inaugurated PNB's Pragati branch office at Paltan Bazar (Astley Hall), which is the first of its kind in the Dehradun circle office.

The bank has decided to roll over nine  more branches under PNB Pragati at Dehradun by December.

 These are Race Course, Prem Nagar, Nari Shilp Mandir, Kaulagarh Road, Indira Nagar, Yamuna Colony, Vikasnagar, Karanpur in Dehradun and one at Haridwar Road Rishikesh.

Kamath also flagged off the Door Step Banking Initiative.

‘PNB Pragati’ is an initiative taken up by PNB under its ‘Organization Transformation and Business Excellence Programme’.

The branches opened under it are the first of their kind, loaded with self service pass book printing terminals, cash deposit machines, cheque deposit machines and ATMs.

These branches will have a reception counter welcoming all the customers and will direct them to respective areas and a queue management system will reduce the waiting time of the customers.

The bank now has 86 branches in the Dehradun circle office, of which 42 are rural branches, 13 are semi-urban and 31 are urban branches.
