77 Indian labourers return from Lanka

All the 77 Indian labourers who had charged an Indian company of mistreatment in Sri Lanka have returned from that country after government’s intervention. “All back in India. All workers involved in dispute with Indian company in Sri Lanka returned late last night & are heading to their homes,” MEA spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin tweeted. External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, who is also the Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs, had taken serious note of the issue and directed Indian High Commissioner in Colombo Yash Sinha to make immediate arrangements for their return.
