In a shocking incident, a seven-year-old girl was allegedly brutally gang-raped by three youth while she was sleeping in the courtyard of her house in the Yamuna Khadar area of East Delhi’s Mandawali area on Sunday night.

Police said that the incident took place at around 11.30 pm in the Yamuna Khadar area where the minor girl was sleeping in the courtyard along with her parents and siblings. Two of the accused, who are the child’s neighbours allegedly entered the house and took away the seven-year-old along with the third accused to a nearby forested area near her house where they all sexually assaulted the girl.

Investigators shared that the parents first took the minor girl to the Lal Bahadur Shastri hospital where her condition was stated to be critical. Due to which, from LBS hospital, the minor
girl was referred to the AIIMS Trauma Center where her condition was stated to be critical.
Meanwhile, senior cops said on late Monday night that they have arrested all the accused. A case under relevant sections of the IPC and POCSO Act has been registered against the accused. Further investigation is underway.
