6 girls rescued from GB Road

Six girls, including two minors, were rescued from Delhi's red light area, GB Road, on Monday.

Of the girls, three belong to Nepal, one from Pune, one from Karnataka and one from West Bengal. The rescued girls were allegedly brought to Delhi on the pretext of getting them married, police said.

They were rescued after a raid conducted by Delhi police around 8.30 pm on Monday at GB Road area.

'The girls informed that they were lured by one Raju, 26, by promising marriage to them. He lured one victim at a time. Once in Delhi, he forced them into prostitution,' said a police official.

The official said that the victims have been handed over to Child Welfare Commission (CWC) and hunt is on to nab Raju.
