36-yr-old model arrested for trespassing, cheating

A 36-year-old model was arrested on charges of house trespassing and cheating in west Delhi, police said on Monday. Jasvinder Kaur was arrested on December 16 from New Delhi railway station following a tip-off, DCP (West) Vijay Kumar said. Kaur, in 2015, in connivance with the main accused Prem Singh, an ex-serviceman and a property dealer, had prepared forged documents of two flats at Mohan Garden in Uttam Nagar of one Jitender Manchanda and sold them for Rs 21 lakhs.

Since then she had been evading arrest, he said. On of the other accused Yash Pal Uppal had been untraceable and later it was found that he had moved to US. Uppal and Kaur had been declared ‘Proclaimed Offenders’ by the court in November, the officer said. Kumar said the investigating team found that Kaur had divorced her husband and was residing in Mumbai. 

“It was found that she comes to Delhi on random visits. Our team received information that she was in Delhi and will be leaving for Mumbai on December 16 by Mumbai Rajdhani Express from New Delhi railway station. A trap was laid and she was arrested,” he said. Kaur was married to Tara Singh, resident of Matiala, and has two children. She divorced her husband in 2012 and later shifted to Mumbai as she was lured by the glamour of film industry and became friends with some persons in the industry.
