33-year-old woman murders husband

On Tuesday morning, a 33-year-old woman allegedly murdered her 43-year-old husband in north-east Delhi’s Gokalpuri area. The deceased has been identified as Dhanpal.
Uttam Devi reportedly hit her husband Dhanpal with a knife and then strangled him to death in their room. The couple’s two sons and their niece were present in the house at the time of the murder.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that the couple shared a troubled relationship and often quarreled on petty issues.
The police said that Dhanpal used to work as a technician with Moser Baer in Noida. He came to know about his wife’s illegitimate relationship with another man and protested against it. According to the police, two days back the couple fought over the issue. The deceased was seriously injured
in the fight and admitted to a hospital.
The wife, however, claims that her husband was had an affair with their
17-year-old niece and that is why she killed.
According to an officer, the incident was reported at around 9 am by Dhanpal’s niece. Police arrested the accused and have registered a case of murder.
The police said though the couple’s children were present at the time of the incident they didn’t intervene thinking it is just a regular fight between the two.
