3 engineering students held for harassing college girl

Three students of a private engineering college were arrested on charges of harassing one of the classmates at Bankura on Thursday. Police said that the three students used to disturb her continuously by passing lewd comments and recently they had started disturbing her through social networking sites. 

The situation turned worse on Tuesday when the trio shared a photograph of the girl in a social networking site. 

She had approached the college authorities and subsequently a complaint was lodged against them with the police. The police had recorded the statement of the girl and the trio was arrested on Thursday on the basis of the allegation. The college authorities have also taken strict steps against the students. 

Other students of the college were also been made aware of the norms. 

College authorities have aske the students to follow discipline or strict steps will be taken against them.
