3 arrested with party drug Meow Meow

With the arrest of three persons and recovery of the party drug <g data-gr-id="27">Meow Meow</g> allegedly meant for clients present at the Skrillex concert in Gurgaon, the Delhi Police on Tuesday claimed to have come across a larger drug nexus operating in and around the Delhi University campus.

The three persons arrested so far have been identified as Sanjeev Jaiswal (25), Umang Narang (21) and a Nigerian national named Victor (42).

Their phone and diary records have further disclosed the existence of a nexus and identities of seven persons who are suspected to be students of varsity’s institutes, said DCP (North) Madhur Verma. The seven suspects allegedly used to procure <g data-gr-id="30">Meow Meow</g> from Jaiswal and Narang at the rate of Rs 10,000 for every half gram shot and sell that off further in party circuits. “The nine gram mephedrone (Meow Meow) recovered from the trio was allegedly procured from Kasol in Himachal Pradesh, from where larger consignments were yet to arrive,” said Verma, adding that a separate team is now probing the Himachal Pradesh wings of the nexus for a larger drug haul.

During interrogation, the trio told the police that a large part of the consignments were to be delivered to their clients who were present at the concert of American electronic and dance music artist Skrillex organised at HUDA ground in Gurgaon on Sunday evening, said Verma.

“However, <g data-gr-id="23">investigation</g> has so far revealed that they could not execute the deliveries as the police received a tip- off and arrested Jaiswal and Narang on Saturday from near the parking area at Inderlok metro station. Victor was arrested yesterday from west Delhi,” said Verma.

The police also claimed that Victor was living in India with an expired VISA. He was into drug trafficking for many years.
