3 arrested for running job racket in Salt Lake

Three persons have been arrested by the Bidhannagar police on the charges of cheating. The accused had allegedly taken Rs 2 lakh from  the complainant promising him to get a primary school teacher’s job. The young victim mortgaged his mother’s gold jewelleries and gave Rs 2 lakh to the accused.

“On Wednesday, we had arrested three persons on the basis of the complaint lodged by the victim. Chandan Mondal, 52-year-old person was the kingpin of that job racket. We have several other complaints against the accused as well. Ananda Kumar Ghosh and Imtiaz Mollah were also arrested 
in connection with the case,” said a senior police officer of Bidhannagar.

The complainant, Murtaza Haque, a resident of South Dinajpur, have conveyed to the investigators that Mondal, a resident of North 24 Parganas had taken Rs 2 lakh from him promising a government job. He allegedly promised to get him a primary school teacher’s job, a month ago. But Mondal denied returning his money after failed to keep his promise. He started to avoid the youth whenever he demanded money.
