29th Industrial India Trade Fair to kickstart from December 23

Goutam Deb, state minister for Tourism, on Tuesday released the poster of the 29th Industrial India Trade Fair (IITF).

The state Tourism department will take part in the fair after two years and it will showcase Bengal as the future destination of investment in the country. Shilpa Bandhab will be the theme of the fair which is scheduled to start on December 23 and will continue till January 1, 2017.

The fair is likely to have the participation of more than 800 exhibitors from national and international countries. All major SAARC countries would participate in the fair like Republic of China, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Iran, Turkey, Egypt, Ghana, Dubai, Iraq and more.

The trade fair will be held at Milan Mela Fair Ground, said Ritwik Das, convener Public Relations Committee of BNCCI.

The Industrial India Trade Fair, the largest one of its kind in Eastern & North eastern India projects the Industrial progress of the region and other states encompassing various sectors.

Kolkata, apart from being the nerve centre of Eastern India, also happens to be a natural gateway to Southeast Asia and to some of the SAARC countries in the region namely Bangladesh, Nepal & Bhutan. This renders lot of supply of opportunities for Indian entrepreneurs into these markets.
